When people see a traction motor installed under a locomotive or metro train, most of the attention naturally goes to the electrical system. Fakat, from a manufacturing perspective, many of the critical engineering challenges are hidden inside the railway steel castings and structural components surrounding the motor itself.
Over the past several years, our team has participated in the production of railway steel castings and machined traction motor components supplied to projects in Malaysia, Rusya, Hindistan, Güney Afrika, Brezilya, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri, and several European countries.
These export projects include motor end covers, tutma halkaları, suspension supports, structural mounting parts, and other cast and machined assemblies used in railway traction systems.
Bizim için, this type of project is not simply about producing parts according to drawings. The real challenge is ensuring that components remain stable under continuous vibration, ağır yükler, and long-term railway operation.

Many traction motor components begin as railway steel castings. Compared with ordinary industrial castings, railway applications typically require greater dimensional stability, more reliable structural performance, and tighter control throughout the manufacturing process.
Depending on the component design, dimensional requirements, and production volume, different casting technologies may be selected during production. Yıllar geçtikçe, we have manufactured railway casting components using resin sand casting, V prosesli döküm, kayıp köpük dökümü, and conventional sand casting processes. Selecting the appropriate process helps achieve the required balance of dimensional accuracy, yüzey kalitesi, mekanik özellikler, ve üretim verimliliği.
Some parts may appear relatively simple externally, but internally they involve strict requirements for machining allowance, assembly positioning, and long-term fatigue resistance.
Üretim sırasında, our engineering team focuses on casting stability, heat treatment control, machining deformation, assembly-related tolerances, yüzey kalitesi, and inspection consistency. These factors directly influence the reliability of railway steel castings during long-term operation.
For certain structural components, even small dimensional deviations can affect bearing alignment or mounting interfaces during final assembly. That is why machining is just as important as casting itself.
One thing we often discuss internally is that railway components are not decorative products. Surface appearance is important, but assembly accuracy is even more critical.
Some traction motor components require multiple machining operations on different surfaces and reference positions. Maintaining consistency throughout the process is one of the main manufacturing challenges.
Our machining work for railway components typically involves CNC turning, frezeleme, sıkıcı, sondaj, precision surface machining, and assembly interface processing. For larger castings, controlling deformation during machining is also an important part of the process.

Railway operating conditions are demanding.
Unlike static industrial equipment, traction motor systems are continuously exposed to vibration, shock loads, changing temperatures, and long operating cycles. Bundan dolayı, we pay particular attention to several engineering factors during manufacturing.
Some supporting components not only carry weight but also absorb vibration generated during operation.
This means casting quality, material properties, ısıl işlem, and machining accuracy must work together to maintain structural stability throughout the service life of the component.
Many railway motor components are connected to bearing systems, konutlar, or mounting structures.
If dimensional consistency is not properly controlled, assembly difficulties may occur later during installation. Bu nedenle, inspection is carried out throughout production rather than only after machining is completed.
Another practical challenge is export transportation.
Heavy railway steel castings often travel long distances by sea before reaching the final customer or assembly plant. Proper packaging, corrosion protection, and loading methods therefore become part of the manufacturing process as well.
Yıllar geçtikçe, we have supplied railway-related castings and machined assemblies to customers across Asia, Avrupa, Afrika, Kuzey Amerika, and South America.

Projects like these also reflect our broader manufacturing capabilities in railway and heavy industrial components.
In addition to traction motor components, we also manufacture railway wheels, cast steel railway components, forged railway parts, heavy-duty industrial castings, and machined structural assemblies for customers worldwide.
For our engineering team, every railway project is ultimately about delivering components that perform reliably in real operating conditions rather than simply meeting drawing requirements.
Through years of export experience and expertise in railway steel castings, hassas işleme, reçine kum döküm, V prosesli döküm, ve kayıp köpük dökümü, Luoyang Fonyo Ağır Sanayi A.Ş., Ltd... continues to support railway and industrial customers across Asia, Avrupa, Afrika, Kuzey Amerika, and South America.
