Overview of Fish Wire

Structural features

• Head design: Ordinary fish bolts use a square head with a semi-spherical top surface, the head of the 8.8-grade high-strength bolt has two additional ridges, and the head of the 10.9-grade bolt is in the shape of a flat cone.
• Neck design: The elliptical neck cooperates with the elliptical hole of the fish plate to prevent the bolt from rotating.
• Thread process: Spade thread or roller thread is used to ensure that the thread accuracy meets the GB196-81 standard.

Material features

• Ordinary type: Q235 steel, tensile strength ≥400MPa, suitable for non-permanent connections.
• High-strength type: 45# acier, 20 manganese titanium boron steel, 35CrMoA, etc., tensile strength ≥800MPa (8.8 grade) or 1000MPa (10.9 grade), suitable for permanent connections.

Manufacturing process

• Hot pressing: Hot pressing by friction press, buckle length 50mm, to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Cold heading: Some products use cold heading process to improve surface quality and mechanical properties.

• Tight connection: external force is transmitted through bolt pre-tension and friction to ensure that the rail joint remains stable under train load.
• Anti-loosening design: used with spring washers to prevent bolts from loosening due to train vibration.
