Overview of Track Gauge
The digital track gauge (referred to as track gauge) is a digital precision instrument designed for railway track geometric parameter detection. It integrates high-precision sensors, embedded algorithms and intelligent interaction, and can quickly measure core parameters such as gauge, superelevation (horizontal), inspection interval, back protection distance, etc.
By pulling the wrench to drive the guide rod to move in the length direction, the movable probe connected to the front end of the guide rod and the displacement sensor pull rod connected to it and the displacement sensor housing fixed on the ruler body produce relative movement, and the displacement sensor gives a corresponding electrical signal, thereby realizing the electrical detection of the gauge measurement value corresponding to the sliding probe and the fixed probe of the track gauge. The information of the displacement sensor is transmitted to the data microprocessor, and the electronic display panel switches the button to realize different measurement requirements such as gauge, inspection, back protection, etc. The built-in temperature sensor of the microprocessor transmits the current temperature to the data microprocessor in real time. The data microprocessor will display the current gauge information on the OLED LCD screen after linear correction and temperature compensation calculation of the various information received, so as to achieve the purpose of measuring the gauge.
The function of the temperature compensation program is: since the ruler is made of aluminum alloy, its linear expansion coefficient is very different from the linear expansion coefficient of the sleeper on the track that directly affects the track gauge, which will cause a large error in the track gauge measured at different temperatures. In order to eliminate the error caused by temperature, a temperature sensor is specially set to monitor the temperature change in real time and transmit it to the data microprocessor. The data microprocessor corrects the track gauge information transmitted by the displacement sensor according to the current temperature, so as to measure the accuracy of the track gauge at different temperatures.
