The iron collision head is equivalent to a buffer, which is installed at both ends of the frame to mitigate the impact force between the two trucks. The iron collision head, also known as the mine truck buffer connection device, is a fundamental structural component in the mining transportation system. 1.1 High strength and wear resistance
The iron collision head is usually forged from high-quality high-manganese steel (ZGMn13) or alloy steel, and undergoes special heat treatment processes to give its surface extremely high hardness and good toughness in the core. This “outer hard and inner flexible” characteristic enables it to withstand the high-intensity impact force and wear generated by the operation, connection, especially accidental collisions of the mine trucks, effectively avoiding derailment or safety accidents caused by deformation or fracture.

This enables different batches and even different manufacturers of mine cars to achieve rapid and seamless connection and formation, greatly improving the dispatching efficiency and equipment utilization rate.
2.1 Safe connection and traction
This is the most fundamental function of the iron collision head. It forms a reliable mechanical connection through its hook or pin structure with the corresponding device on the other section of the mine car, effectively transmitting the traction force of the mine car to the entire train carriages, ensuring that the train moves as a whole during traction or braking, and preventing derailment accidents.
2.2 Critical buffering and protection
When the train starts, brakes, or experiences a collision, the iron collision head is the first and most important line of defense. It effectively attenuates and absorbs impact energy through its elastic deformation and structural strength, like a “safety airbag”, protecting the mine car carriage behind it, connecting chains, and even the mine car itself from direct damage, significantly enhancing the service life of the entire train group.
