Overview of Rail Car Coupler

This series of rail car couplers are core connection devices designed for railway transportation and heavy-load mining scenarios, focusing on mechanical structure stability, basic functional compatibility and full-condition durability. The products cover three major areas: passenger trains (EMU/urban rail), freight heavy-load, and mining locomotives. They support manual/semi-automatic coupling, are compatible with multi-national railway standards and special mining needs, and ensure train/mine car marshaling, traction transmission, longitudinal impact buffering and basic gas-electric docking functions. They are suitable for high-frequency, high-load transportation tasks in harsh environments.

Military-grade materials and structures

  • Coupler body material(metal hooks): high-strength low-alloy steel (such as Q345E, ASTM A572 Gr50), tensile strength ≥600MPa, yield strength ≥345MPa, impact resistance increased by 40%.
  • Mining reinforced version: the surface of the hook tail frame and hook tongue is thickened with chrome plating (≥80μm), the wear resistance is increased by 3 times, and it is suitable for the dust and gravel impact environment of open-pit mines.

Multi-scenario compatible design

  • Railway standard: compatible with mainstream railway coupler interfaces in many countries, supporting transnational intermodal transshipment.
  • Mining customization: optional wide-body hook for mining (coupler tongue opening angle ≥ 110°), adapted to wide track gauge (1435-2000mm) and overload requirements (single hook load ≥ 350 tons).

Simple operation and safety redundancy

  • Couplering mechanism: three-level locking structure (main coupler tongue + anti-unhooking coupler tongue + mechanical locking pin), manual couplering torque ≤ 60N·m, hooking success rate ≥ 99.5%.
  • Anti-unhooking guarantee: The hook tongue pin hole is built with a double-row needle bearing to reduce hooking wear; the coupler tail frame is equipped with an anti-unhooking baffle to prevent longitudinal impact unhooking.

Core functions of Train Coupler

Mechanical coupling and locking

  • Railway type: After the convex cone of the coupler tongue is engaged with the concave cone hole, the lock pin is manually inserted and rotated 90° to lock, and the coupling time is ≤15 seconds/section. Train connect and coupler railway.
  • Mining type: The opening angle of the couplertongue is expanded to 110°, supporting blind coupling of mine cars at a slope of ±20°, and the width of the hook body is increased by 30% to resist lateral impact.


Buffering and vibration reduction system

  • Railway standard version: rubber buffer + friction buffer combination, energy absorption rate ≥75%, impact attenuation time ≤0.8 seconds.
  • Mining enhanced version: hydraulic buffer (optional) + rubber spring composite structure, adapted to high-frequency impact in open-pit mines (impact ≥200 times per shift)

Adaptability to extreme environments

  • Railway type: coupler surface is galvanized + Dacromet coating, salt spray test ≥ 720 hours, anti-corrosion ability is improved by 50%.
  • Mining type: The coupler body is fully sprayed with wear-resistant ceramic coating (hardness ≥ 9H), and the anti-gravel impact performance is improved by 200%; optional heating module, no jamming when connected at low temperature of -40℃.
